New Column Properties Dialog
Used to add and configure the properties of a new attribute in the environment's database table.
Opens when you:
- click Add on the Designing new table page of the New Environment Wizard
- right-click the Attributes node of an existing environment and select .
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | Sets the name of the attribute. |
| Data type | Specifies the type of values that this attribute can contain, such as integers, characters, date and time. |
| Use native data types | |
| Length | Sets the maximum number of digits that can be stored for the attribute. |
| Scale | Sets the maximum number of digits that can be stored to the right of the decimal, if the Data type is set to numeric, decimal, or number. |
